Sales Intern

Position Title: Sales Intern 
Office Location: St. Louis 
Reporting Location: In office Monday - Thursday (Friday off) 
Internship Duration: Monday, June 23rd 2025 - Thursday, July 31st 2025 
Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, 32 hours per week, Internship 
Compensation: This is a paid internship. 

 

Position Summary 
The Sales Intern will join Collabera's dynamic team and engage in a structured, immersive learning experience centered around sales, recruiting, and client engagement. This role involves hands-on training, client interaction, and participation in impactful projects that support our Sales and Account Management teams. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our leaders and immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of staffing and business development. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
1. Sales and Business Development 

  • - Shadow Account Managers (AMs) and Sales Managers to learn sales strategies and gain practical experience 
  • - Actively participate in The Sales Project, a capstone style project/presentation focusing on setting up strategic meetings with key decision-makers at target companies using outside-the-box thinking and creativity.
  • - Conduct outreach via phone, email, and other communication methods, following best practices to establish connections with potential clients. 
  • - Use Collabera's tech stack, including tools like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and internal databases, to research and engage with prospects effectively. 

2. Training and Development 

  • - Assigned to a local mentor to help with daily direction. 
  • - Attend comprehensive week long L&D session at our Dallas location, covering Collabera's approach to sales, negotiation, and recruitment 

3. Client Engagement and Relationship Building 

  • - This will be anything but an in office, behind the desk, sales role: we live for in person sales where we meet the client where they are and strive to build relationships at restaurants or sporting events. 
  • - Develop and execute a strategic plan to connect with high-demand IT decision-makers, focusing on areas like Cloud, Cyber Security, and Data Science. 
  • - Participate in networking activities, including career fairs, coffee meet-ups, and happy hour events to expand Collabera's market reach
  • - Maintain a pipeline of contacts, keeping prospects engaged and setting up meetings for further relationship development

4. Administrative and Reporting Tasks 

  • - Complete all onboarding requirements, ensuring that equipment and resources are ready before the start date. 
  • - Document and report daily activities, progress, and results to your assigned supervisors. 
  • - Stay organized and manage your workload efficiently, meeting deadlines and achieving program goals.

5. Compliance and Conduct 

  • - Follow Collabera's policies, procedures, and core values. 
  • - Handle sensitive company and client information with professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • - Abide by all relevant employment laws and regulations.

Educational Requirements 

  • - Currently enrolled in the Junior Year of a Bachelor's degree program, with a preference for majors in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related fields

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • - Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • - Strong ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
  • - Self-driven with a desire to learn and succeed in a professional sales setting.
  • - Organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management abilities.
