Job Overview

We seek a Lead Generation Specialist with a strong background in sales-driven research and opportunity qualification within the software and game development industry. This role focuses on strategically identifying and prioritizing high-value job opportunities on platforms such as UpWork, Clutch, and other Lead Generation Platforms that align with our expertise and have the highest potential for conversion.

 

Understanding the RSM Lead Generation Framework

Success in this role requires more than just identifying job opportunities—it requires a deep understanding of how RSM evaluates and engages with clients to maximize success. While you won’t be responsible for defining this strategy, you must understand and apply the principles that guide our lead generation and client engagement efforts.

  • Client-Centered Approach – Recognize how RSM goes beyond job postings to assess what clients truly need, ensuring our expertise is positioned as the right solution.
  • Authentic Positioning – Understand how to craft messaging that resonates with clients, highlights our strengths, and clearly communicates how we solve their challenges.
  • Focused Efficiency – Prioritize the right opportunities early, ensuring efforts are spent on profitable, high-value contracts rather than low-quality leads.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Messaging Strategy

  • Deeply understand our ideal customers' needs, goals, and pain points to craft messaging that genuinely resonates and demonstrates real value.
  • Test and refine hooks, subject lines, and messaging to ensure outreach is client-focused, engaging, and leads to meaningful conversations.
  • Approach client engagement with integrity, ensuring messaging reflects authenticity, empathy, and a desire to solve problems, not just close deals.
  • Use ChatGPT and AI-driven tools thoughtfully—not as a shortcut, but as a way to enhance quality, refine communication, and ensure clarity and impact.
  • Align messaging with RSM’s core values and expertise, ensuring every interaction builds trust and positions us as the right partner.
  • We are only interested in candidates who genuinely resonate with these values. If you don’t care about truly understanding client needs and providing real value, this role is not for you.

Lead Qualification & Opportunity Selection

  • Identify and analyze job postings using Robot Sea Monster’s Lead Generation framework, targeting Super Hot and Hot opportunities.
  • Evaluate client needs, budgets, and project scopes to focus on high-probability, high-value contracts.
  • Ensure lead selection aligns with RSM’s core expertise to improve our chances of winning bids.
  • Prioritize jobs based on strategic fit and ROI potential.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to explore and develop new lead sources beyond our current lead generation platforms.
  • Profile prospects, qualify leads in Pipedrive, and conduct targeted industry research (e.g., LinkedIn, Sales Navigator) to refine lead generation and improve targeting.

Tech & Development Awareness

  • Assess job feasibility by understanding game/software development cycles, MVP phases, and agile workflows.
  • Ensure profiles and messages align with technical requirements, clearly articulating expertise in game engines (Unity, Unreal), mobile and web development, Web3, Blockchain, AI, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and cloud-based architectures (AWS, Firebase). Highlight cross-platform capabilities (React Native, Flutter), agile development methodologies (MVP, iterative development), and security best practices for AI and Web3 applications to ensure scalable, high-performance solutions.

Lead Management & Pipeline Efficiency

  • Enhance and customize pre-crafted proposals to ensure clarity, impact, and alignment with client needs, making them more compelling and results-driven.
  • Track and report on lead generation effectiveness, refining strategies based on performance data.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and follow up on introductory calls for the Sales team, ensuring timely engagement and maximizing conversion opportunities.
  • Optimize Lead Generation profiles on various platforms and outreach messaging based on client engagement insight.
  • Work independently and manage multiple leads and lead generation platforms while staying organized and meeting deadlines.

Ideal Candidate

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in software or professional services sales.
  • Proven experience using UpWork, Clutch, LinkedIn, or similar lead-generation platforms to identify, qualify, and apply for relevant job opportunities.
  • Ability to work in remote, globally distributed teams, demonstrating strong self-management and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Pipedrive (preferred), HubSpot, or Salesforce to track leads, manage outreach, and optimize the sales pipeline.
  • Experience with LinkedIn lead generation, including Sales Navigator, LinkedIn outreach automation tools, and Boolean search techniques to identify and qualify potential clients.
  • Comfortable using AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GigRadar, UpWex.io, or UpWork search filters) to refine messaging, enhance engagement, and streamline prospecting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess job postings, extract key insights, and prioritize high-value opportunities.

Work Environment

You must be available via Google Meet, Slack, and email during designated work hours. Additional hours may be required when we need to meet project deadlines and for periodic client meetings. Hours will fluctuate based on the number of projects, project scale, and project timelines.

Robot Sea Monster is a fully remote company with team members across the globe. We expect you to provide the appropriate computer, peripherals, and software needed for this position, in addition to the high-speed internet, mic, and camera required for video conferencing and voice calls. Robot Sea Monster will provide access to all team systems and any proprietary software or hardware necessary for a project.
