Behavioral Therapist Level I
The Level I provider supports and implements a patient care plan created by the BCBA. Behavioral Therapist Level II
providers work with clients during therapy sessions to improve clients' communication, social interaction,
and problem-solving skills through the use of ABA therapy.
ABA goals and programs that are implemented in therapy sessions that encourage Responsibilities:
- Document all services provided in the person’s case notes and/or health care plan as specified in
- EIDBI – Health service records.
- Participate in monitoring the person’s progress on targeted goals and objectives and treatment
- outcomes, including data collection.
- Participate in the person’s coordinated care conference as determined by the QSP and requested
- by the parent/primary caregiver.
- Provide intervention observation and direction to level III providers as determined by the QSP and
- identified in the person’s ITP.
- Provide intervention services as determined necessary in the CMDE and identified in the person’s
- ITP, with fidelity to the treatment method or modality necessary to promote progress on targeted
- goals and objectives.
- Receive required clinical supervision and intervention observation and direction as identified in
- the person’s ITP.
- Spends the maximum amount of time possible involved in direct contact with clients.
- Is punctual for all scheduled shifts, completes all scheduled shifts, and effectively manages time.
- Demonstrates willingness to meet the scheduling needs of COMPANY and the client when
- appropriate and when in a client’s best interest.
- Demonstrates and models the consistent use of positive and proactive behavior management
- techniques.
- Effectively communicates on a regular basis with supervisors and staff.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Age 18 or older.
- Ability to pass DHS background check
- Must be able to qualify as a EIDBI Level II provider through MN Department of Human Services.
QUALIFICATIONS Behavioral Therapist Level I:
- Must have a master's degree or be enrolled in a master's program related to this field. (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies).
Or
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies).
- Have at least 2,000 hours of clinical experience in their EIDBI agencies.
Or
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies).
- Have at least 6,000 hours of clinical experience in their EIDBI agencies.
Behavioral Therapist Level II
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- Complete the ASD Strategies in Action and EIDBI 101: Overview of the Benefit required trainings.
- Have clinical experience in EIDBI agencies or related field.
- Be fluent in another language besides English. (not required).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.21 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
