Internship in Philanthropy

Job Title: Intern                                                  

Reports To:   Senior Program Officer  

Position Type:   Part-time, exempt                                

Schedule:  16 hours per week       

Period:   May through August

Days:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday onsite and in person at the Connelly Foundation Office  (100 Front Street, W. Conshohocken, PA, 19428)

 

Position Summary:

The internship offers hands-on experience in philanthropy with Philadelphia region and Catholic education focus, providing students with exposure to project management, survey development, report development, office culture, and teamwork. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects while gaining insights into company culture, Catholic education, and professional life. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with projects related to the Foundation's scholarship programs, including the administration of an alumni survey of past scholarship students and an annual review of scholarship program data.
  • Administer the scholarship alumni survey.
  • Monitor the completion of surveys and use an online email campaign tool to send and monitor communications. Summarize survey results as assigned.
  • Summarize information on scholar graduates for use in the Foundation's annual program report
  • Conduct online research to locate and obtain current email addresses including contacting graduates via social media accounts.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, organizing materials, and any office duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current college student, recent graduate, or graduate level student.
  • Strong project planning and management skills. Strong relationship management skills.
  • Strong time management skills; highly organized, and detail oriented. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Track record of achieving results and handling multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
