Location: Hybrid (Some virtual work, some in-person at our showroom)

About Us:
Comfy Living Chicago is an up-and-coming startup specializing in high-quality, affordable furniture. We offer a selection of new couches, living room furniture, and mattresses made in the USA, as well as professionally refurbished name-brand couches. We also recently launched our own locally made couch line. Our company is growing fast, and we are looking for a creative and motivated social media intern to help us build our online presence.

Job Description:
We are seeking a Social Media Content Creator Intern to assist in content creation (both video and picture shooting), audience engagement, and marketing strategy. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience with a growing startup while having fun in a dynamic, creative environment. You will work closely with our team to develop engaging content, analyze market trends, and grow our brand awareness. This position will start off as an unpaid internship, and you will have the potential to be hired full time if we are a good fit.

Responsibilities:

• Create and post engaging content (videos, photos, reels, stories, etc.) for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Assist in developing and executing social media campaigns to promote our products
• Capture high-quality product photos and videos, including in-store and delivery process footage
• Edit videos and images to enhance engagement and brand aesthetics
• Monitor social media trends and provide insights on how we can improve our online presence
• Interact with followers, respond to comments/messages, and build our community
• Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize engagement and growth

Qualifications:

• Passion for social media marketing and content creation
• Basic videography, photography, and video editing skills (experience with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar is a plus)
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Creative mindset with an eye for engaging, viral-worthy content
• Some experience in social media marketing, content creation, or brand management preferred (but we welcome motivated learners!)
• Interest in working with a growing startup and contributing ideas to help us scale
