Graphic Design Internship

Scout & Nimble (www.scoutandnimble.com), a national interior design brand and a leading online home decor destination, is excited to offer internship opportunities for Summer 2025. We provide a creative and collaborative work environment, dedicated to helping people design their dream homes, their dream careers, and their dream buying experience. We are currently looking for a well-rounded Content Team Intern who is eager to showcase their skills to a nationwide audience by creating engaging web, social and video content.

Internship Description:

Are you a visionary graphic designer passionate about home design and eager to see your work featured on platforms with over 450k followers? Scout & Nimble is on the lookout for creative minds to join our team as Graphic Design Interns. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with high-end interior design elements and contribute to marketing campaigns that will be delivered to our broad audience across the country. You'll collaborate with professionals on our marketing team  and play a pivotal role in bringing creative projects to life, from social media graphics to marketing emails and more.

Weekly Hours: 12-15 hours of work per week, providing a flexible schedule that can accommodate academic commitments.

Duration: Summer Semester with the opportunity to stay on the team longer.

Compensation: A stipend of $150/week is offered with the potential for an hourly part-time position in subsequent semesters based on performance and company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Digital Graphics: Create web and display ad graphics for marketing campaign assets.Design and Build Email Marketing Campaigns: Work alongside Email Marketing and Graphic Design Manager to craft, build and program visually appealing marketing emails that resonate with our subscribers, driving both engagement and sales.
  • Craft Campaign Copy: Write and edit copy to support digital marketing campaigns and promotions. 
  • Analyze Performance Metrics: Monitor and review analytics for email and social media campaigns to understand audience engagement and preferences, aiding in the optimization of future designs.
  • Contribute to Special Design Projects: Design assets and provide creative support for business initiatives and events. 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in person at our Columbia, MO,  office for direct collaboration and project involvement.
  • A passion for graphic design and digital media. (An interest in interior design or home decor is a plus!)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Figma. 
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your graphic design skills.
  • Creative and innovative thinking with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.
  • Previous experience in graphic design, particularly in a digital or e-commerce context, is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving, continual learning, and resourcefulness, reflecting our core value of initiative. This involves taking the lead on challenges, eagerly acquiring new skills, and efficiently utilizing available resources to deliver innovative solutions.
