Descriptive Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Analyst Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with data, providing insights to drive business decisions, and developing technical skills. You will work closely with our data analytics team to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support various projects and initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings.
- Support the development and implementation of data models and analytical frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Assist in automating data collection and analysis processes.
- Document methodologies, processes, and findings clearly and concisely.
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with database management and querying languages (e.g., SQL).
- Knowledge of data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
- Understanding of machine learning basics is a plus.
- Previous experience in an analytical or quantitative role (academic projects count!).
