Events and Marketing Intern
Picnic Party Seattle is the Seattle's premier luxury pop-up picnic company. We've done over 500 events and we are currently interviewing for a Events and Marketing Intern who will gain exposure to marketing and executing a small events business including event planning and event execution. The ideal candidate for our team will enjoy working alone and with a team, an effective communicator, have a desire to help with growth/change, and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
We are seeking someone who wants to go into event planning and/or marketing with an eye for design who is not afraid to get their hands dirty to set up a beautiful picnic for someone (even in the rain!)
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Prepare the picnic design/setting, load and unload the vehicle on-site
- Communicate with clients in a professional, friendly manner, representing Picnic Party's five star commitment to client experience.
- Take photos and videos of the picnic set up for social media
- Think of creative solutions and help execute when things don’t go according to plan (welcome to event planning!)
- Assist with inventory management in our South Park warehouse.
- Support other administrative and marketing projects as needed with copy editing, creating social media posts, talking with vendors/ partners, and ordering supplies.
Qualifications
- We're looking for someone who is ethos and values driven, interested in working for a small, woman owned business!
- Must be organized, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Past events/marketing experience is a plus
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
- Self-directed and motivated
- Must have a medium-large vehicle you are willing to use to haul equipment for events, and/or must be comfortable driving different vehicles, such as a minivan.
- Must have weekday and weekend availability
Schedule and Compensation:
This role will be a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week, Wednesday-Sunday.
In-person for events at our South Park warehouse and on-site at various parks and venues around Seattle.
