Job Title: Java Developer – Apache Beam & Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract (OPT EAD, H4 EAD, Green Card, US Citizen)

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Additional Requirement: This role is available only on W2 (Contract)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with expertise in Apache Beam and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, data pipeline design, and cloud computing, with hands-on experience in streaming and batch processing on Google Cloud Dataflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Apache Beam pipelines on Google Cloud Dataflow.
  • Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions using Java.
  • Work with GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
  • Optimize pipeline performance and cost efficiency on GCP.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define and implement data requirements.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and system issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and best practice implementations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including core Java, multithreading, and design patterns.
  • 4+ years of experience with Apache Beam for data pipeline development.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
  • Strong understanding of stream processing, batch processing, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling.
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink (preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Terraform, or Cloud Build.
