POSITION: FULL TIME HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER
REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid state teaching license for secondary mathematics
• Bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics
• Experience teaching high school mathematics preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong classroom management skills
JOB SUMMARY:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Assess student learning through various methods, including homework, formative/summative assessments and exams
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes
• Prepare students for standardized testing
• Create lesson plans that are aligned to state standards
• Manage students in the classroom
• Track and report student data to principal and curriculum team
• Provide students with the necessary resources and materials to help them understand course content
• Regularly communicate with parents/guardians
• Other duties as assigned by principal
