
Film Intern
About Us: F.R.4.M.E Initiative is a non-profit organization that seeks film Interns for its immersive film education initiative. Over 4 weeks, interns will collaborate with elementary-age students, guided by our program coordinator. Together, we'll delve into the world of filmmaking, teaching young minds various roles within the industry, exploring filmmaking techniques, and offering hands-on experience with professional film equipment to create small short films and commercial content.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in creative, hands-on projects, with a special focus on the Capstone Premiere project, crafting a cinematic short film and branded content per cohort.
- Assist in presentations and Q&A sessions.
- Work in small groups with film equipment, aiding in setup and breakdown.
Requirements:
- Freshman through Senior-level standing.
- Fundamental knowledge of filmmaking principles.
- Understanding of the film industry landscape.
- Familiarity with lighting techniques and temperatures.
- Proficiency with cine cameras, specifically Black Magic.
- Knowledge of sound recording techniques.
- Minor experience with editing software.
- Ability to effectively engage with youth (no prior experience required).
- Strong communication skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and understanding demeanor.
- Availability for commuting.
- Excellent teamwork and time management abilities.
