Event Management Intern

Mayor’s Office, City of Erie

Internship Objective 

Gain valuable event management experience as you support the mayor's staff through community and vendor relations, program planning, and event coordination.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with event and festival coordination, including vendor relations and program planning
  • Assist with coordinating event hospitality needs, including food vendors and backstage hospitality
  • Support with day-of event duties, assisting with vendor and hospitality needs and communicating with necessary event staff to complete tasks
  • Assist the mayor’s staff with project management including scheduling, preparing for meetings, and conducting research for initiatives/projects
  • Attend meetings and events with the mayor’s staff
  • Answer phones, check voicemail, and log detailed messages
  • Efficiently manage your own email account
  • Perform other duties as assigned 


Earnings

Part-time, $14.00 per hour

 

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in college studying hospitality, event management, communications, and/or another related field
  • Prior employment or internship experience
  • Samples of work
