About the Fellowship:

The California Latino Capitol Association Foundation (CLCAF) is proud to announce its annual Fellowship Program. Every year, a cohort of rising professionals have the opportunity to gain 10 weeks of experience working as a CLCAF fellow for an Assemblymember, State Senator, State Agency, Non-profit, or an Advocacy Organization in Sacramento, CA. The CLCAF Fellowship Program strives to provide students, particularly from underserved communities (first-generation, low-income, students of color), a chance to gain a meaningful professional experience in public service. CLCAF fellows are trained, mentored, and supported by experienced Capitol staff. Program participants are also given professional and academic development workshops along with educational webinars to foster their growth.

CLCAF Fellows will:

  1. Gain working experience and insight on how the California State Government operates
  2. Receive mentorship from professionals in the Capitol community and build your network
  3. Take a step closer to directly build a career working in the California Capitol Community and/or public service/government

CLCAF Fellows will receive a $6,600 stipend if selected to recognize their work and contributions. Stipends will be distributed (bi-weekly) during the 10-week fellowship.
