Your Impactful Role 
The Peachtree Orthopedics Administrative Internship is a 12-week, full-time program aimed at highly motivated individuals who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate-level program and are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare administration. This experience is designed to provide young leaders with a work experience at a premier independent orthopedic surgery practice.

Interns will be exposed to operations, finance, and systems through project-based work experiences. Project opportunities will vary and reflect both the participant's learning goals and the organization's needs. In addition to project work, candidates will attend and document meetings, tour Peachtree Orthopedics facilities, present project findings to leadership team.

Time Commitment

  • Program dates: May 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025 (12 weeks)
  • Students work full-time during the week
  • Students are responsible for meeting their projects' respective deadlines
  • Workdays are variable and may require long hours

Placement Process
Students are placed in various areas throughout Peachtree Orthopedics based on student interest and department needs. Placement and location will be determined during the selection process.
 

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $18/hour
  • Housing is not offered as part of compensation

Administrative Responsibilities
Depending on placement, administrative interns may:

  • Assist with operations, finance, and systems projects
  • Support departmental initiatives
  • Analyze data and prepare reports
  • Attend administrative meetings
  • Coordinate with various departments
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination tasks
  • Prepare and organize documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
 

Education and Experience

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in healthcare administration or related field
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare and healthcare administration

Skills

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several variables.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data analytics and project management software.
  • Communication: Express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing; exhibit good listening skills.
  • Teamwork: Balance team and individual responsibilities; contribute to positive team spirit.

Physical Demands
The position may require prolonged sitting and computer use. The work environment is typically in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
