Department: Marketing 

Supervisor: Guest Experience and Volunteer Coordinator 

Employment Type: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt 

Compensation: $17 per hour

 

The Event Staff assist with the day-to-day operations of Caramoor’s Events, including assisting with venue load-in, assisting guests inside the theaters and on our grounds, and guiding vehicles to parking spots. Event Staff play an important role in our guest experience, so this is a great position for someone who is warm, friendly and outgoing.  

This position is seasonal and based on the schedule of Caramoor programs, June through August, Thursday – Sunday, afternoons and evenings. A full schedule of events will be available March 11th at caramoor.org.    

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Assist in venue setup and cleanup
  • Direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas
  • Control traffic flow between vehicles and pedestrians
  • Manage guest flow in and out of venue
  • Help enforce venue policies

  

 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

Experience Ability to learn on the job is a must. No experience required, however experience in customer service or working events is a plus. Background or experience in the arts/music is a plus.     

Customer Service and Communication Skills Must have a friendly and professional attitude and work well with others. Be compassionate and accepting of those of different ages, backgrounds and experience.  Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills desired.

Working Conditions Ability to work in a busy environment with the public, maneuver outdoors in all weather conditions, on woodland trails, gravel pathways and lawns.  Flexibility to work during weekends and evenings for events. Ability to lift/move up to 40lbs. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
