Electrical Engineering Intern (8863)

Summary:

 

Qorvo is looking for a student to work as a RF Design Engineering Intern during the summer of 2025. The student in this position will be exposed to all aspects of design, characterization, assembly, and testing solid-state module assemblies of MMIC die and packages for high frequency applications. Scope of work will depend heavily on the candidate’s experience level and skill set.

 

Responsibilities may include:

Contribute to design of multiple functional blocks including Drivers, Power amplifier, and RF Modules

Meet performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule

Device/System modeling and optimization

Work as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data

Work with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data

 

Qualifications:

BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering

Student must have completed some analog/RF circuit design course work

Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred

Familiarity with compound semiconductor technology (GaN, GaAs) is a plus

Software exposure: ADS, AWR, HFSS, Altium, SPICE

Minimum GPA of 3.0

Strong collaboration skills

Self-starter with good communication skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information 

Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products

Be able to enjoy working in a fast paced work environment
