We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our clients.


Responsibilities:

Ensure that an Engagement Letter has been sent and a signed copy returned by the client. 

Based on the audit fee, develop an audit budget based on the expected number of hours to complete and staff hours assigned. 

Performs the planning using PPC Smart Practice Aids Risk Assessment
Coordinates the scheduling of the Entrance Conference with the client management, governance, Audit Director, Principal, and Senior Auditor
Prepares the Entrance Conference PowerPoint Materials for review by Principal and Director.

Schedules audit fieldwork with the client.

Prepares complete workpapers in conformity with standards.

Communicates with clients on-site, by phone and email to obtain accurate information and relevant supporting documentation to support workpaper conclusions.

Drafts, foots and proofs audit reports and other engagement documents.

Ensure all workpapers, audit programs, and leadsheets have been completed and signed off by the appropriate staff.

Prepares the exit conference presentation prior to the date for review by Principal and Audit Director.

Coordinates audit exit conference with client management, governance, Audit Director, Principal, and Senior Auditor.


Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with an emphasis in accounting
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours
necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause
greater than normal departmental pressures
- Experience in computer applications (i.e. QuickBooks, Accounting CS, Word,
Excel, Outlook)


This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mandatory overtime from mid-January through mid-April including Saturdays.
