Position: Assistant to the Treasurer
Reports to: Treasurer
Job Objective: Process Payroll and Administer Employee Benefits
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting preferred. Work skills substantiated by training and/or work experience using governmental accounting procedures and automated data processing systems.
- An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
- Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Possess intermediate to advanced computer software skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), FileMaker Pro, Redesign State Software USAS and USPS.
- Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with privileged information and displays a strong customer-service focus.
- Follow complex instructions and recognize/correct errors independently.
- Take ownership in the job and commit to long hours of work when necessary.
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
- Meets pre-requisite qualifications to be bonded.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines and procedures.
- Willingness to obtain Notary Public Commission.
Essential Functions: Manage payroll and human resource operations for the district.
Starting Date: To Be Determined
Pay Scale: Per Salary Schedule (approximately $17.42 - $21.85 per hour)
Work Schedule: 12 Months/year--8 Hrs/Day--2080 Hrs/Yr
