Scientific Affairs Intern
General Description: Support Scientific Affairs team in ongoing work processes (e.g., literature searches, wellness blog, label caution review, web copy libraries) to ensure scientific accuracy; updating Disease Prevention and Treatment (DPT) chapters (e.g., enhancement with visuals, reference updates, SEO integration).
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support blog/wellness guide outline development and copy approval process by finding authoritative sources and recent research for selected topics
- Support social media influencer script development and review process
- Support label caution review process in safety data review for new and existing ingredients
- Support SA/PD in creating and managing reference libraries in EndNote and the management of bibliographies in specific documents
- Support the development of infographics and graphical abstracts for various SA content
- Incorporate search engine optimization (SEO) suggestions into marketing and DPT content as appropriate
- Verify suggested products/doses and update units of measure for DPT internal product suggestions
- Assist in proofreading late-stage draft copy and web copy of marketing and DPT content
- Review Novel and Emerging drugs sections of top DPT protocols and propose updates to reflect current regulatory approval landscape
- Support outline and section development for DPT updates by researching select topics/finding recent research reviews, as well as cross-referencing other LE publications and materials for conceptual alignment
- Work with SA/PD team member(s) to review and analyze proposed new product ingredients for scientific accuracy by reviewing source documents
- 2 days per week onsite attendance is an essential function of this role

Position Requirements:
- Actively enrolled Junior/Senior or recent alumni from a fully accredited College/University with concentration in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or similar; a minimum GPA of 3.5 cumulative is strongly preferred
- Adept at using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with referencing software, such as EndNote
- Experience working with graphical design software such as BioRender and/or Canva preferred
- Demonstrable history of content creation a plus (e.g., blogging, visual media)
- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently
- Outstanding written English competency with writing experience
- Excellent communication skills and superior attention to detail
