Sales Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with experience in SaaS and software solutions, specializing in the public sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key government accounts, and developing strategies to expand our footprint in the public sector market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the public sector for SaaS and software solutions.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales plans tailored to the unique requirements of public sector clients.
- Proposal & RFP Management: Lead responses to government RFPs, RFIs, and tenders, ensuring compliance and alignment with client needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key decision-makers, procurement teams, and IT leaders within public sector organizations.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on government policies, regulations, and technology trends that impact public sector sales.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales quotas through strategic account planning and execution.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record in SaaS/software sales within the public sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of government procurement processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise software solutions.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with federal, state, or local government agencies.
- Understanding of GovTech, digital transformation initiatives, and emerging public sector technology trends.
- Ability to navigate long sales cycles and manage complex contracts.
