LMSW/PhD/PsyD - Clinician
Align Therapy Services is a private psychotherapy practice based in NYC specializing in Women’s health and providing evidence-based and trauma-informed care for: anxiety and mood disorders; trauma recovery; relationship and communication issues; disordered eating and body image issues; infertility, pregnancy, post-partum, and maternal mental health; & couples therapy.
Our goal is to provide warm, compassionate, and empowering care for a diverse clientele who are looking for sustained growth, change, and fulfillment in their lives. We are an out-of-network practice whose clientele is generally high functioning, motivated, and lower risk.
Align Therapy, currently a solo private practice, is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a PhD/PsyD with a limited permit seeking clinical licensure hours in a virtual outpatient private practice setting. Our mission is to provide high quality clinical supervision as well as access to a supportive professional environment with room for career growth and development.
Position details:
- Align Therapy is offering a full-time, fully remote fee-for-service position
- Following a ramp-up period, candidate is expected to maintain a caseload of ~25 clients weekly
- Clinician-lead flexible hours/scheduling
- Candidate is expected to complete clinical documentation (progress notes) in a timely fashion and communicate as needed via email/phone with direct supervisor
- Candidate is expected to provide brief video/phone consultations for prospective clients (training provided)

Candidates should possess:
- A New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CWSE) or a PhD/PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited program
- Commitment to upholding professional standards and code of ethics
- Maintenance of malpractice insurance
- Clinical fieldwork experience (practicum and internship considered)
- Ideal candidates will have a range of availability to see clients including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends
- Clinical experience or training with adult women and/or professionals is beneficial
- Training/experience in evidence-based and trauma-informed therapy modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-and-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally-focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) or other attachment-based approaches, and EFT or Gottman for couples therapy is highly valued
- Ideal candidates will be passionate and committed to professional development and clinical growth in a setting in which depth work with clientele is prioritized
- Ideal candidates will possess excellent clinical acumen, interpersonal, and written language skills, a strong work ethic, a high degree of self motivation, and the ability to work effectively independently
- Ideal candidates will be open to incorporating feedback from clinical supervision into their practice while developing their personal therapeutic style
