TV Demand Management Intern

Samsung TV currently holds a significant position in the US market, ranking #1 in terms of sales volume and revenue share.  The TV demand management team in Supply Chain Management serves as a pivotal node in the product journey from factory floor to customer doorstep. Central to its mission is ensuring seamless coordination among Sales, Manufacturing, and Distribution teams via precise demand analysis and timely communications—a task integral to maximizing organizational productivity. We always seek to harness comprehensive insights derived from expansive TV production and logistics databases.  Through this opportunity, we plan to automate repetitive tasks within our team, increase efficiency, and invest more time into higher-level work to improve overall quality. Candidates will have the chance to engage in highly valuable activities that involve communicating with not just our team but also the Sales team, production marketing team, and Logistics team while working with data. This experience will provide insight into how these efforts contribute to enhancing one of the world's top companies. 

Collect, interpret, and present numerical data accurately and concisely. 

Perform trend analyses, variance assessments, capacity utilization evaluations, and scenario simulations. 

Prepare clear documentation outlining findings/recommendations supported by evidence/data. 

Reviewing orders/schedules/inventory lists to avoid errors/mismatches/delays. 

Work collaboratively across departments/functions sharing common objectives/goals. 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's/master's program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and be in their final or penultimate year of study.

Completed coursework in subjects such as production planning, forecasting methods, inventory theory, materials requirement planning (MRP), lean manufacturing principles, marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and statistics/probability. 

Basic understanding of spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data entry, calculation, chart creation, and reporting purposes. 

Effective oral and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and professionally. 

Willingness to work collaboratively across departments/functions sharing common objectives/goals. 

Open-minded attitude towards feedback/input from colleagues/managers facilitating continuous growth/improvement.
