Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager Intern will assist in developing and managing Resilience, Inc.’s social media presence to support its mission of fostering community resilience and empowerment. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement within the nonprofit sector.

 

Key responsibilities:

Strategy Support:

  • Assist in creating a social media strategy that aligns with Resilience, Inc.’s mission and objectives. 
  • Research trends, nonprofit strategies, and platform updates to inform social media initiatives.

Content Creation and Management: 

  • Help develop and curate engaging, mission-driven content tailored to various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). 
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting. 
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to gather stories, photos, and updates for sharing.

Community Engagement:

  • Interact with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a respectful and timely manner. 
  • Build connections with community members, partners, and supporters through online engagement.

Analytics & Reporting: 

  • Track and evaluate the performance of social media posts and campaigns using analytics tools.
  • Assist in preparing reports on social media performance with actionable insights.

 Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to align social media activities with organizational goals. 
  • Participate in team meetings to share ideas and contribute to broader strategies.

 

Qualifications

  • Passion for social media and its role in driving nonprofit missions. 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and tools 
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to meet deadlines.
