The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (DOT) is hiring a Seasonal IT Support Technician to assist our Information Technology team in providing essential technical support services. 


 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

The Seasonal IT Support Technician will assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and deploying computer systems, software, and related IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields looking to develop real-world skills in IT support.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Provide technical support for end-users, including diagnosing hardware and software issues.
  • Support IT staff in configuring and deploying Windows 11 workstations.
  • Help manage IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
  • Install and update software applications as needed.
  • Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.

 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

 

  • Anticipated start date in May of 2025 and ending by August 30, 2025
  • Monday-Friday
  • First shift
  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Seasonal
