IT Risk Consultant (Remote)

Fastrics is looking for an IT Risk Entry Level Consultant to join our growing team. This full-time position is for individuals who enjoy a hands-on development role in IT Risk, Cybersecurity, & Data Analytics to join a group of IT risk experts that monitor and report on operational risks and trends.

What you'll do:

  • Supports clients with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) or other regulatory/framework compliance and audit readiness efforts related to financial systems.
  • Advises on maintaining a risk/control framework that accurately reflects the IT control environment and alignment to the Information Security Policy and standards.
  • Assists process owners and control owners in identifying gaps in control design and control operating effectiveness of IT general controls and related remediation measures.
  • Interviews selected personnel, gathers, and analyzes test information to assess the adequacy of the control environment.
  • Responsible for communicating and confirming observations regarding the supplier assessment.
  • Documents evidence and maintains work papers based on established quality standards.
  • Writes a robust report to communicate results of the assessment to the company’s relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key management and provide guidance on appropriate resolution of issues, as well as ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of the control owners to ensure appropriate input and dialogue on potential risks

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelors or Masters (preferred) in Accounting, Technology, Computer or Data Science, Cybersecurity, IT Risk Management. Specialized skills in disciplines such as IT architecture, change management, systems development.
  • Experience with common information technology and related frameworks, such as Windows, Unix, NIST, COBIT, etc.
  • IT auditing / quality evaluation experience is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience at multiple levels across the organization.
  • Strong planning, organization, negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with limited supervision while managing own workload.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work remotely at a home-office (100%)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S., without the requirement for an employment visa or sponsorship
