UI/UX Design Intern
Position: UI/UX Design Intern
Duration: 8-12 weeks, part-time (min. 10 hours/week, up to 20 hours/week)
Location: Miami, FL
Compensation: $20/hour (co-funded through Miami Dade College's Idea Center)
About the Role: We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Intern (ideally an HCI major) to join our growing fintech team. In this role, you'll work directly with our head of product and senior designer to create intuitive, engaging user experiences that help our customers navigate their biggest purchase (buying a home!).
Responsibilities:
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs using Figma
- Collaborate with product manager and developers to implement designs
- Assist in conducting user research and usability testing
- Create and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Help translate business requirements into user-friendly design solutions
- Document design decisions and create specifications for implementation
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled within greater Miami area
- Proficiency with Figma and understanding of design principles
- Basic understanding of user-centered design processes
- Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design projects (student work acceptable)
- Strong visual communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and iterate on designs
- Interest in fintech and digital product design
