
Student Digital Media/Design Assistant-TDS
Transportation and Distribution Services is seeking a detail-oriented individual with an interest in communications and visual design. This part-time position will report to the Creative Services Supervisor and contribute to a variety of projects that enhance and communicate department resources including but not limited to navigation, awareness efforts, and initiative or program improvements through visual pieces and outreach events. Applicants must be well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and all Microsoft Office programs. In addition, the Student Communications/ Digital Designer will collaborate on mapping-related projects, assist with research and data collection, provide administrative support, and evaluate communication or marketing pieces for improvements. Candidates should be comfortable working on a range of design and outreach tasks and able to contribute to the planning and execution of new communication strategies.
Qualifications
§ Can work 15-20 hours a week
§ Experience with Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Illustrator)
§ Strong art background and interest in marketing, design, advertising, communication, or a related field is required
§ Self-motivated and deadline-oriented
§ Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
§ Excellent customer development skills
§ Internet and Microsoft Office proficiency
§ Outgoing, friendly, and highly creative!
