Team Lead, Homemaker Personal Care
The responsibility of the Team Lead is to oversee the Homemaker Personal Care operations of the homes and ensure the overall health and safety of all employees and individuals being served. Team Leads perform all of the basic job requirements of Direct Support Professionals, as well as the tasks below.
Duties Include:
- Know and follow all ISP-specified procedures and train employees in procedures
- Know and oversee all medication/treatment administration procedures; assist Compliance Manager in any related procedures, including medications coming due for refill or expiry
- Maintain and oversee all tracking logs and documentation, train employees in proper documentation procedures
- Supervise and be responsible for any funds maintained for the home including petty cash, personal money of the individuals, and any money used for the operation of the home (i.e. utilities, groceries, supplies) Track all spending and maintain all receipts.
- Monitor and maintain adequate supplies of food, cleaning products, and other necessities
- Supervise individuals in daily activities
- Schedule and ensure transportation of individuals to all activities and appointments
- Assist with scheduling employees and posting schedules, locating substitutes, or filling in for any open time slots
- Supervise the upkeep of the home and individuals
- Attend ISP meetings as requested by individuals
- Communicate with consumer families representing MCA positively at all times
- Know and follow all emergency procedures, conduct emergency drills monthly
- Assist with the training of new staff members
- Keep in contact with the Program Manager
- Turn in all paperwork, receipts, etc. promptly to the Program Manager
- Turn in any Employee of the Month nominations
- Any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Community Coordinator, COO, or CEO
MCA Employee Requirements:
a. 1 year of DSP experience required
b. 1 year of Team Lead or Supervisory experience preferred
c. Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance required
d. First Aid and CPR Certificate required (training provided)
e. Complete all required DODD-related training and continued education
