Grants Specialist
The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) Business Centers are a cohesive team that provide professional service, efficient resource management, and effective solution development with integrity, accountability and focus on the customer. This position is located at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Education, and Extension Center near Mead and Ithaca, NE. ENREEC is within 30 minutes of both the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas.
As a Grants Specialist, you will:
- Serve in a consultative role and be responsible for providing grant support in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Primarily execute and review routine and complex pre- and post-award grant transactions.
- Work closely with employees within the departments served, as well as functional office staff, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
- Function under limited supervision and be expected utilize technology to provide professional services.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years of related grant management and/or finance work experience; additional relevant education or experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience with SAP or large integrated finance system.
- A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Posted Salary $51,961/yr minimum
