Contracts Administrator Supervisor
Summary/Objective
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) is seeking candidates for high visibility positions in our Vocational Rehabilitation Program. GVRA offers candidates the opportunity to work with community partners, organizations, and internal and external stakeholders in local offices across the state to develop partnerships and leverage resources.
The Vocational Rehabilitation Program provides individualized vocational rehabilitation counseling, pre-employment transition services, employment skills development services, and support to facilitate competitive integrated employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities.
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Supervises the development, process, and approval of legal contracts and compliance within federal and state laws, rules and regulations, and departmental guidelines.

5. Creates and maintains positive working relationships with community, partners, providers, businesses, advocacy groups, and core Workforce partners.
6. Interviews, hires, directs, trains and evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, initiates the disciplinary process of provider relations employees.
7. Reviews new and current providers to determine their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with GVRA policy and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
8. Coordinates with state-wide coordinators and managers to ensure that their needs are being met with quality providers.
9. Lead efforts to recruit potential providers and vendors.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or more of the following:
1. Master’s degree in Business or other related field
2. Five or more years of experience in a manager role.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the
performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. This
position also provides guidance and coaching to managers outside of the department related to HR and employee relations.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position. Reasonable accommodation can be made available to qualified individuals upon request.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

High school diploma/GED and seven (7) years of contracting job-related experience, which includes two (2) years in a lead worker, team lead, or supervisory role; or three (3) years of experience required at the lower level Contracts Administrator 3 (LEP032) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
