Intern, Water Resource Planning

The Commission is seeking an intern to work in the Water Resource Planning Section to help improve the Commission’s data analysis capabilities and long term water supply planning efforts.  Job duties include database population and queries; researching and evaluating water withdrawal data, reservoir releases and construction history; compiling locational data for permits and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyses.  The paid internship is available for approximately 37.5 hours/week, May – September 2025.  The internship is a hybrid position where “in-person” attendance at our office is required Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays are remote work days. Students majoring in environmental science, geology, engineering or planning are encouraged to apply.  Interested applicants should send a resume to Michael Thompson at Michael.Thompson@drbc.gov by March 28, 2025.
