
AI & Machine Learning Intern (Fantasy Sports)
Role Overview
Leagueswype is building an exciting AI-powered tool to help fantasy sports players make smarter decisions. We're looking for a motivated intern to assist in the development of our "Virtual War Room," a web-based platform that uses AI to provide real-time insights. This internship will give you hands-on experience in applying artificial intelligence to a fun, engaging real-world project. You'll work closely with our team to explore how AI can be used to analyze player performance, suggest trades, and provide valuable fantasy sports advice. This role requires knowledge in natural language processing (NLP), AI-driven automation, and predictive analytics to power AI assistants like The Analyst, The Scout, and The Negotiator.
Responsibilities
- Design AI-driven assistant architecture for real-time fantasy insights
- Develop and fine-tune NLP models for AI-generated player recommendations, trade evaluations, and waiver wire analysis
- Leverage OpenAI API (or fine-tune LLMs like GPT-4) for contextual fantasy sports insights
- Implement machine learning models to predict player performance, injury risks, and trade value
- Collaborate with data engineers to ingest and process fantasy sports data from Yahoo, Sleeper, and FantasyPros APIs
- Ensure AI-driven recommendations are accurate, engaging, and easy to understand for users
