Position Overview
As our Social Media and Marketing Intern, you’ll be at the heart of Drive’s digital voice and community. From creating buzzworthy content to engaging with fans and showcasing the power of our technology, you’ll play a vital role in connecting Drive to the hockey world. This is more than an internship—it’s your chance to make an impact in sports tech while having a blast doing it.


 

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and manage engaging posts across social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) to boost brand awareness and engagement.
  • Content Creation: Design and develop creative content, including graphics, videos, and visuals, while collecting and editing event footage to highlight our technology.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor social media performance, track metrics, and analyze trends to optimize content strategies and enhance engagement.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with our hockey-loving community by responding to comments, messages, and fostering meaningful online interactions.
  • Writing and Marketing: Write blog posts about hockey and sports technology, and assist with marketing materials, including presentations, newsletters, and digital advertisements.
  • Research and PR Support: Conduct research on trends in sports technology, sports industry events, and hockey culture, sharing insights with the team and supporting PR efforts, such as building media lists and assisting with communications initiatives.
  • Sponsorship Coordination: Develop and maintain a list of teams, leagues, events  in our area to offer sponsorship packages for tryout camps, tournaments, combines, or showcases. Create sponsorship materials, outreach plans, and coordinate a structured program.


 

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program focused in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Sports Management or related fields.
  • Passionate about social media, analytics, and sports.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working remotely and meeting deadlines.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in video editing and graphic design.
  • Managing social media and/or building communities for a sports team or sports organization.
  • Playing hockey, having a network in the hockey community, or just being a hockey fan.
  • Familiarity with WordPress.
