The Muskingum County Library System is looking for a friendly and reliable Part-Time Customer Service Assistant to join our team! This position is based primarily at our Duncan Falls and Roseville branches, though occasional shifts at other locations may be required.

We’re looking for someone who truly enjoys working with people, has a welcoming and adaptable attitude, and values teamwork. In this role, you'll help patrons navigate library resources, assist with basic technology needs, and contribute to a positive library experience for everyone.

Position Details:

Primary Location: Duncan Falls & Roseville Branches

Schedule: 17 hours per week, including evenings and weekends

Pay Rate: $15.33 - $16.68 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Assist patrons with finding materials and using library resources
• Help maintain a well-organized and inviting library space
• Shelve books and other materials in the correct order
• Support basic technology needs, such as using computers, tablets, and eReaders
• Occasionally make supervisor-level decisions in the absence of the Customer Service Specialist

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn and follow library policies and procedures
  • Good organization skills, including alphabetizing and basic clerical tasks
  • Comfortable using technology, including computers, phones, tablets, and eReaders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
