Outpatient Family Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts initial assessments, including diagnosis according to standards published in the current edition of the DSM, of new and existing consumers. 
  • Develop and implement measurable treatment plans and treatment updates for each client and family that are individualized and recovery-oriented. 
  • Participate in group supervision, team meetings, and other meetings as assigned. 
  • Maintain 60% productivity rate
  • Maintain a caseload that is comprised of at least 50% family services
  • Conducts individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy using generally accepted techniques employed in a manner assigned. 
  • Participate in agency and program-specific quality assurance and improvement plans
  • Appropriately plans for and coordinates continuity of care of consumers
  • Reports all unusual incidents, accidents, conflicts of interest, or other issues potentially problematic to the agency, staff, or consumer(s) promptly to the Clinical Supervisor. 
  • Ensure compliance with Agency, Federal, State, County, and component regulations. 
  • Maintain clinical license as current at all times, meeting minimum annual training requirements
    • If not licensed or if currently license eligible, attends regular clinical supervision with a licensed practitioner and attends at least 20 hours of continuing education/ relevant training per year
  • Reports all unusual incidents, accidents, conflicts of interest, or other issues potentially problematic to the agency, staff, or consumer(s) promptly to the Outpatient Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education or other appropriate human services field
  • Experience with family therapy or systemic approach preferred
  • Act 33 & 34 Clearances as provided by Child Protective Services Law, 23 PA C.S. 16301
  • Act 114 Clearance (FBI) as provided by IdentoGO
  • Act 31 Training (Mandated Reporter Training) 
  • National Sex Offender Registry Clearance
  • Clinical Licensure Preferred
