Industrial Supervisor, Bindery

 CALPIA Bindery program is designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutional needs statewide. You will train and mentor incarcerated individuals who will gain knowledge and skills needed to meet the highest possible standards for the Bindery and increase one’s chances for employment opportunities upon release.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Bindery Experience using cutters, slitters, and heat stamping.
  • Experience printing on various mediums such as vinyl, mesh, and decal.
  • Experience working within a bindery, placard, or decal dept.
  • Experience with production, scheduling and logistics.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Data Base systems.
  • Experience working in a correctional facility.
  • Supervisory Experience; leading, instructing and/or training.
