Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience
Expected starting salary is $30.99 to $41.38. Full salary range is $30.99 to $51.76.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in management information systems, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
OR
Associate’s degree from an accredited college in management information systems, business administration, mathematics or related field and two (2) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.
OR
A combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
Nature of Work
Under general supervision, assists with research, data and policy analysis, reporting. Utilizes methods and tools to improve the efficacy and efficiency for programs, processes, and systems. Assists with the county’s analysis needs to drive strategic decisions and assist in problem-solving. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Examples of Work
- Gathers data from internal and external sources including financial reports, survey results, and performance metrics.
- Conducts basic data analysis, summarizes data, and identifies trends and patterns.
- Assists in developing organizational processes, documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
- Prepares documents, reports, and materials.
- Assists with creating project scopes and requirements. Recommends solutions and options for deliverables.
- Develops visualizations such as statistical charts, graphs, and tables to display data in various formats.
- Assists with facilitation, project coordination, and communication with departments to support projects.
- Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of local government programs, operations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of state-wide data systems.
- Knowledge of facilitation methods and practices.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methods and practices, such as Baldrige, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, TPS, Agile, etc.
- Knowledge of project management methods and practices.
- Skill in conducting data analysis.
- Skill in the use of business math.
- Skill in the use of computers and technology including Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Skill in the use of data sets and systems.
- Ability to create summary reports and visual aids with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to develop statistical charts, graphs, and tables.
- Ability to process detailed information accurately and rapidly.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems.
