ANALYTICAL SCIENTIST 1  

FreeThink Technologies, Inc. is a rapidly growing company and the world leader in the science and technology of stability. FreeThink conducts laboratory studies for domestic and international clients in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and consumer product industries and develops its own new technologies. Our scientists work in a fast-paced environment on a wide variety of projects including mechanistic and scientific investigations, stability-indicating method development, rapid shelf life determinations based on our ASAPprime® software, cGMP stability studies, and creative stability problem solving. We also develop complex formulations for client companies. 

We are seeking a full-time Analytical Scientist 1 to work in our laboratories in Branford, Connecticut. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong educational foundation in chemistry or a related field who are seeking a career as a research and development scientist. Candidates will receive on-the-job training to develop technical expertise with opportunities for professional growth. Ideal candidates will have hands-on laboratory experience, including coursework or internships involving instrument operation and troubleshooting. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO 

After on-the-job training, safely and effectively perform analytical measurements including HPLC/UPLC, GC, KF and dissolution testing  

Ensure all work performed complies with company standard operating procedures and is well-documented 

Develop and maintain technical expertise through continuing professional education and training 

REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific field 

Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical laboratories or laboratory classes including instrument operation and troubleshooting 

Skilled with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word and comfortable learning new software applications 

Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis for any employer without the need for sponsorship

COMPENSATION  

The base salary for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
