Instructional Coach
TITLE: Instructional Coach/Full-Time or Part-Time
JOB BRIEF:
- Provide direct support to school staff in conjunction with building administration and MTSS Coordinators for ongoing improvement of teaching and learning programs focused on building and district goals through coaching, modeling, mentoring, collaboration, professional development, implementation and support of district high quality instructional materials and instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Kansas educator licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching, with a record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience teaching in USD 383 preferred

REPORTS TO: Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate grade-level professional learning communities and collaboration times.
- Provide job-embedded professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with building administrator and school leadership teams to advance building and district initiatives and close student achievement gaps.
- Analyze student achievement data and translate that data into meaningful instructional practices for educators.
- Identify and implement procedures for conflict resolution and team building to enhance morale, retention and productivity.
- Differentiate building and teacher support based on individual and building needs.
- Coherently align instruction and assessment with building and district curriculum and goals.
- Co-plan and co-teach lessons that emphasize high-leverage instructional strategies.
- Provide innovative and energizing professional development that is evidence-based and matched to teacher needs.
- Teach and support at-risk students with instructional groups.
- Mentor and support educators on an initial teaching license.
- Other duties as assigned
- Extended days on contract to support Vertical Alignment planning and New Educator Orientation

- Demonstrate positive attitudes toward the education profession and maintain positive relationships with employees
- Keep student and personnel information and records confidential
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; experience with conflict resolution, facilitating communication between divergent groups and in group decision-making
- Observe and follow school district policies
- Travel as needed
- Perform other tasks and assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:
- Extended Contract, 193 days
- 2024-2025 Salary Schedule (Based on 189 days)
- 2025-2026 Salary Schedule yet to be established.

RETIREMENT:
- USD 383 makes monthly contributions to a 403(b)-retirement account for all certified and eligible employees.
- KPERS (Kansas Public Employees Retirement System): 6% monthly staff contribution. Vested after five years.
TECHNOLOGY:
- District provided devices - iPad, laptop and/or desktop for certified staff.
PAID COLLABORATION TIME.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
