Paid Summer Internship.  Full-time starting the end of May through the end of August. 

Camp Christopher, a program of Catholic Charities, is looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and hardworking interns to work in our stables department. The ideal candidate had prior experience working with horses and is looking to work in a fast-paced, rewarding, and enjoyable environment. Interns will gain valuable experience working and teaching children. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate trail rides, ring rides, and lead line rides
• Work with team to provide all aspects of horse care
• Follow all regulations and standards to ensure camper safety
• Work with youth throughout the day
• Learn the skills necessary for the stable and horse management

Internship Requirements:

• Preference to applicants obtaining a degree in animal management/ care, outdoor recreation, or related field
• Preference to applicants with prior horse experience/ interest
• Must be at least eighteen years or older
• Intern will abide by contractual agreement between Catholic Charities and the higher education institution
• Ability to work in an outdoor setting that requires frequent walking, standing, and lifting

Schedule: Full time: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:30 pm

Pay: $450 a week
