EyeMed Business Controls and Audit Services Summer 2025 Intern
GENERAL FUNCTION
The EyeMed Business Controls and Audit Services teams oversee Client Audits, Regulatory Reporting, Business Continuity, Vendor Management, and Policies and procedures. The student intern will assist in various tasks and projects across these teams, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the department’s goals. This role is designed to provide learning opportunities in a professional environment, allowing the intern to apply theoretical knowledge from their studies and develop practical skills.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a comprehensive guide for Business Owners that outlines best practices for managing the entire vendor lifecycle. Define processes and expectations for collaborating with vendors throughout the partnership. Establish clear guidelines for sunsetting or transitioning vendors, including contract closure, knowledge transfer, and final evaluations
- Develop a comprehensive and user-friendly handbook to guide vendors in conducting business with EyeMed, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Develop and implement a document control process for vendor forms and attestations.
- Support the potential transition to Policy Management and Contract management software, helping facilitate a smooth implementation and user adoption
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Seeking a degree in Business Management, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Available for the entire 10-week program, 40 hours per week, in office 2-3 days a week.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required on the first day of employment.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint/Teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or work experience in similar functions/business units.
- Leadership roles on campus and/or community involvement.
