Shift Manager - Nashville Kayaking

Job Description: Our shift manager takes on a wide range of responsibilities to help lead our daily operations.  Working directly with the operations manager, some of these tasks include; helping lead and manage a team of trip staff, making customer service and closure decisions when unexpected events arise, and helping ensure a safe, fun trip experience for our customers. The shift manager will also assist with driving the kayak trailers, giving orientations, and other on-the-ground responsibilities.  Additional duties could include but are not limited to: sales and marketing, cleaning/organization, capturing content for social media, customer communications, and opening/closing for the day. 

Qualifications: Our ideal candidate has a love for the outdoors, makes customer service a priority, and has strong problem-solving skills. They have the ability to help lead, motivate and manage a team. They are reliable, organized, and confident thinking outside the box in a fast-paced environment. The candidate has the ability to work flexible hours and is committed to working weekends during the summer season. Previous management experience is preferred, but not required. Previous leadership experience is required.
