KUSBDC - Community and Economic Empowerment Specialist

 

The Community and Economic Empowerment Specialist focuses on creating equitable opportunities  for underserved populations, particularly economically disadvantaged and BIPOC  entrepreneurs. This role involves developing culturally informed programs, removing barriers to entrepreneurship, and connecting clients with resources to support their success. The GA will collaborate with consultants to design workshops, create resource materials, and conduct one-on-one client sessions to address systemic challenges.

Responsibilities include identifying gaps in access to funding, mentorship, and entrepreneurial education and working to bridge these divides with practical solutions. The GA will advocate for inclusivity, promote equity, and contribute to building a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

 

This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester.  Please contact Rachael Wolfe for additional information if needed at rwolfe@kutztown.edu.
