KUSBDC - PR and Government/Community Relations Specialist
The PR and Government/Community Relations Specialist will enhance the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center’s (KUSBDC) ability to support entrepreneurs and strengthen community ties. This position focuses on organizing ribbon-cutting events for new business startups, ensuring collaboration with local officials in a nonpartisan manner. The GA will work closely with consultants to promote start-up businesses and with the internal intern team to share entrepreneurial success stories through KUSBDC marketing channels.
Additionally, the role involves fostering engagement with community events across the counties KUSBDC serves, maintaining strong connections with resource partners, and elevating the visibility of the center’s impact. Candidates should have strong communication, organizational, and storytelling skills, with an interest in public relations, government relations, and community outreach.
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Rachael Wolfe for additional information if needed at rwolfe@kutztown.edu.
