Product Development Intern

THE ROLE: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT INTERN

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Product Development Intern, you will collaborate in a fast-paced environment alongside the U.S. and OLLY International Teams, supporting various technical product initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in product development, providing exposure to global teams as well as cross-functional departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, and Marketing.

•Contribute to key product development stage gates for dietary supplements such as sample analysis, data collection, project timeline review, and commercialization process.

•Learn and support product stability studies, including data collection, analytical method review, trend analysis, and sample review to determine product shelf life.

•Support analytical method validation review for probiotics including sample submission, certificate of analysis review, method review, and lab communications.

•Gain foundational knowledge in organoleptic sample evaluation and support the Sensory Team in evaluating exciting new prototypes.

•Support documentation review for product related items such as raw material review, finished goods, change controls, product applications etc.

•Contribute to the standardization of the international label review process by learning key regulatory criteria and label evaluation best practices.

 

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED:

•Eagerness to learn is number one!

•Strong Microsoft office skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Office, and Adobe Acrobat

•Excellent communicator

•Background in science with a strong technical mindset

•Experience in data collection

•Experience in supplement or food product development a plus.

 

PREFERRED MAJORS + HELPFUL COURSEWORK:

Candidates must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

•Science related majors; Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, etc.

•Food Science and/or product development related courses  will be helpful

 

THE DETAILS

LOCATION: San Francisco/ Bay Area

HOURS: full time, non- exempt (hourly) / 40 hrs per week for 10 weeks
