Association Sales Intern

Pay: $20.00/hr

Overview of Position and Sample Projects: 

 

AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is seeking a Sales Intern to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our association sales and business development teams, providing hands-on experience in sales strategies, customer engagement, and data analytics. Ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in sales, business development, or data-driven marketing, this internship will equip you with valuable skills and insights into the sales process. Projects in this internship would include: 

  • Appointment Setting with new and existing prospects
  • CRM Management including both prospect, customer, and opportunity data
  • Assisting with sales reporting and sales trend analysis
  • Assisting with sales & presentation collateral creation
  • Attending business development and sales meetings with potential prospect interactions from around the globe

 

Qualifications: 

An ideal candidate would have the following qualities: 

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively across different audiences, both in writing and verbally.
  • Research Aptitude: Capable of conducting thorough research of internal data to identify understand sales trends and uncover new opportunities.
  • Highly Organized: Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, track progress, and communicate updates effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with switching between different tasks and assignments while maintaining a focus on priorities and making progress on the most critical projects.
  • Curiosity and Initiative: Exhibits a strong desire for continuous learning, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and suggesting innovative solutions.

 

 Education: 

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university with focus in business, business administration digital marketing or related field

 

Experience Level: 

  • Entry

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite Email and Communication Tools: Familiarity with tools like Outlook, Gmail, and communication platforms such as Slack or Microsoft Teams for effective collaboration and communication.
  • Basic skills in data analysis, including the ability to interpret sales data and generate reports. Experience with tools like Excel for data manipulation and analysis is beneficial.
  • Ability to use online research tools and databases to gather information about potential clients, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Basic skills to use tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides to create engaging presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bonus points for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software familiarity.
