Internship – Marketing & Communications
Physicians Insurance has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Intern for a 12-week paid summer internship to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths to assist Physicians Insurance in achieving its business strategy. The Marketing & Communications Intern will gain meaningful on-the-job work experience, networking, and both personal and professional development opportunities.
The Marketing & Communications team communicates the company brand through a variety of marketing channels, including social media, digital and print advertising, direct email, database communications, and website. The team collaborates with various functional areas to develop strategic internal and external marketing communications to achieve business goals.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior marketing staff on various campaign strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Facilitate CRM database management, eNewsletter development, social media, and event management.
- Work with marketing team and sales staff to identify upcoming conferences, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities to increase brand awareness.
- Support company’s brand presence by assisting with updates to website architecture, design, digital news, and resources/tools.
- Conduct Member engagement analysis by synthesizing key metrics across channels, and developing recommendations for increasing engagement suitable for presenting to management.
- Support internal communications with updates to company intranet.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in a Marketing, Communications or Business related major at an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Anticipated graduation date between 12/2025 and 5/2028
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively through verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and edit marketing copy and article content
- Organizational skills and project management skills
- Demonstrated advanced skills and experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience with digital/graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) preferred
- Marketing technology platform experience, such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Pardot, Drupal
- Previous internships in related field and coursework in marketing or communications preferred
- Motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and eager to tackle new projects
- Ability to collaborate and focus on solutions that advance the work of Physicians Insurance A Mutual Company
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to gather and assess relevant information and apply this thinking to projects
- Ability to adapt and adjust to new and changing situations
