JOB TITLE
Summer Intern, EH&S. 40 hours each week, M-F.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) to evaluate Arrowhead lab spaces and evaluate
potential sustainability opportunities, working closely with lab operations to review My Green
Lab sustainability assessment.
• Perform daily walk throughs of the laboratory spaces to ensure compliance with hazardous
waste regulations.
• Involved in Blood Borne Pathogen Plan writing and updating.
• Assist EHS management with all hazardous waste shipments.
• Work with EHS to perform facility critical safety checks.
• Interact with scientists on a daily basis to understand changing needs associated with new
processes or experiments.

DESIRED MAJORS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS
• Rising juniors earning a degree in EHS, environmental science or natural sciences
background.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Will spend 75% of day walking around building, 25% at desk
