Assistant Superintendent - Teaching & Learning

Level: Administration

Building Location: District Office

Total FTE: 1.0

Bargaining Unit: NA

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Plans and implements professional development for the district and sites.
  • Implements data-driven practices to impact student learning.
  • Oversees and implements the K-12 curriculum review process.
  • Oversees curriculum and instruction and all Tier I programs in MTSS.
  • Coordinates and oversees the work of the instructional coaches.
  • Oversees the Q-Comp plan and evaluation process.
  • Serves as the district's literacy lead.
  • Coordinates the district-wide assessment program.
  • Oversees technology integration in the district.
  • Works directly with the principals to implement policies and procedures.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest educational research and best practices.
  • Recommends board policy on all Teaching and Learning areas.
  • Serves as Superintendent in the absence of the Superintendent.

Qualifications: 

  • At least 3-5 years of service as an education administrator.
  • Evidence of data-driven decision making.
  • Evidence of successful implementation of district initiatives.
  • Evidence of creating school/community partnerships.
  • Superintendent license required.

Salary:  $125,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience
