Industrial Maintenance Intern
The Industrial Maintenance Intern will support the maintenance team in ensuring the smooth operation of all Manufactuing and production equipment. The intern will gain hands-on experience in reliability centered maintenance, industrial maintenance procedures, planning, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques. This position provides and excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a practical setting and learn about various types of machinery and industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain Knowledge in preventive maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Assist in managing the repair and replacement of faulty components (e.g., belts, motors, valves).
- Support the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery.
- Assist with maintaining equipment records and logs, documenting maintenance activities.
- Aid in ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve issues affecting production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support emergency breakdown maintenance as needed.
- Shadow and learn experience maintenance professionals.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2025 and be in good academic standing
- Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with power tools and industrial equipment (e.g., hand tools, wrenches, and gauges).
- Understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers and machine control systems is a plus.
- Previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
